    Common trim sizes

    6 x 9 inches is a common trade paperback size. 5 x 8 and 5.5 x 8.5 work well for many text-heavy books. 8 x 10 and 8.5 x 11 are often used for workbooks, planners, coloring books, and manuals.

The best trim size depends on genre, production cost, page count, and reader expectations.

    Template workflow

Pick a trim preset, enter the final page count, select paper type, and download the SVG guide. Use the guide as a reference layer in your design tool.
